It is with sadness that the family of Germaine Gour (née Poulin) announces her passing on Sunday, December 11, 2005 at the West Nipissing General Hospital at the age of 88. Germaine was predeceased by her husband Edgar and her son Royal. She will be fondly remembered by her children, Laurent (Aline) of Eldee, Laurette Philion (René) of Espanola, Armande Dignard (Fernand) of Markstay, Louise McPhee (Robert) of Guelph, Lucille Philion (Johnny), Richard, Jean-Guy (Anna-Marie), all of Sturgeon Falls. Also special memère to 23 grandchildren (one deceased) and 28 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Philomène (Lalonde) and George Poulin, as well as brothers, Armand and Joe, sisters Lucille Poulin, Olive Poulin and Leoni Leblanc. She is survived by her sisters, Alice Martin of Val Caron, Valérie Turenne of Mattawa, Jeanne Labrosse of Sudbury and sister-in-law Eglantine Poulin. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation. The family will receive relatives and friends at Résurrection Church, Sturgeon Falls, on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at 11 a.m. Reverend Gérald LaJeunesse officiating. In lieu of flowers, condolences may be expressed by donating to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation in Sudbury. Donations may be made at Théoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home.
