GOULAIS, James (Jim)

1936-2006. The family announces with sorrow his death at the West Nipissing General Hospital, Sturgeon Falls,Sunday, November 19, 2006, at the age of 70 years. Son of the late Harry and the late Philomène (née St. Denis) Goulais. Loving companion of Alice Rivers of Nipissing First Nation. Dear father of Kenneth (Laurie) of Sarnia, Suzanne Goulais-Deering (Walter), Lily Armstong (Alex), Edgar (Carole), Harry, Alice Villemaire (Patrick), Yvan (Pam), Vanessa Cyr (Jason), George (Chantal) all of Nipissing First Nation and Frank (Wendy) of North Bay. Predeceased by his son Bartholemew. Survived by one brother Jerry (Linda) and by one sister Madeline Commanda (late Edward) both of Nipissing First Nation. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Maurice, Benjamin, John, Alexina, Catherine, Jane, Diane and Agnes. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and by his many nieces, nephews and friends. James worked as a Boilermaker for Local 128, for over 30 years. A family man, he enjoyed travelling, meeting people, and he took great pride in his aboriginal culture. He will be missed by his family and friends.



The family will receive friends at the THEORET- BOURGEOIS FUNERAL HOME, Sturgeon Falls, this evening from 7 to 9 p.m and on Wednesday from 2 to 4, 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian burial to be held Thursday, November 23rd 2006 at 11 am. in Holy Spirit Church, Garden Village.
