With deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of John at the West Nipissing General Hospital on Sunday, April 14, at the age of 89 years.
John was the beloved husband of Marion (nee Bain). Loving father to Randy (Kathy) of Haliburton, Robin (Brenda) of Markham and Shani (Brian) of Sturgeon Falls. Proud grandfather to Lauren, Emily, Jakob and Logan. John was predeceased by his parents Peter and Valera (nee McConnell) and is survived by siblings Betty, Shirley, Marion and Robert. Predeceased by sisters Margaret, Eileen and Audrey and brother Bill. He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. John worked as a paper-maker at Macmillan Bloedel for 42 years until his retirement in 1987. He was also a longtime member of the Sturgeon Falls Masonic Lodge No. 447.
