It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce, Margaret ‘Maggie’ Girardot, has passed away peacefully at North Bay Regional Health Centre, surrounded by family and loved ones, on Sunday, December 6, 2020.
Maggie was the beloved wife and love of Walter Lemieux, she was in her 74th year. Beloved mother to Elizabeth (Ernie) and Michael (Sherri) and loving step-mother to Tracy. Remembered lovingly by her grandchildren Jessica and Samantha. Predeceased by her twin brother Phil Taylor. She will be immensely missed by her sibling William Taylor.
Anyone that knew Maggie, knew she loved to cook, swim, take walks daily and talk, she loved to talk. Maggie could brighten up a room of complete strangers with her contagious smile, stories and gift of conversation. For that, she will be forever missed by all the people’s hearts she has touched. She leaves behind family members and many friends.
Thank you to the exceptional, caring nursing staff of “B3 – Surgical Unit” at North Bay Regional Health Care Centre, Dr. Phillipson and Dr. Shulman for their care and kindness in her time and family’s time of need.
Respecting Maggie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service and a cremation will take place. If desired, donations to Nipissing North Bay Serenity Hospice would be appreciated.
