After a short illness Mr. Gertlbauer died at North Bay General Hospital on Thursday, March 27, 2008 in his 82nd year. Ernie Gertlbauer of Arnstein was predeceased by his wife Doris (Mabey). He was the loving father of Jean Sullivan (Ron) of North Bay, Joanne Parr (Chuck) of Callander, Terri Gauthier of North Bay, Rick Gertlbauer of North Bay, Anne Hartnoll and Janice Mabey both of the Yukon. He was the proud grandfather of Randy, Tammy, Cathy, Kelly, Chris, Kerry, Heidi, Danny, Sean, Glen, Matthew, and R.J., and great-grandfather of Blake, Amy, Gordy, Michael, Tyler, Brett, Ryan, Katrina, Justin, Kyle and Jamie. He was the dear brother of Erma Taylor of Burk's Falls and Betty Murray (Jack) of Katrine. Uncle Ernie will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the Port Loring Royal Canadian Legion Br. #415 Hall on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. A Legion Tribute and Memorial Service will commence in the hall at 2:00 pm. If desired, donations in Ernie's memory may by made to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #415.
