GAUTHIER, Mrs. Melina Marie (nee Blais)

Peacefully in the presence of her loving family, at her residence in Corbeil on Thursday, February 24, 2005 at the age of 90 years. Predeceased by her husband Marcelin Gauthier and a son Roland at the age of five years. Melina was the daughter of the late Joseph Blais and Lucie Gauthier. Melina was born January 2, 1915 in Corbeil. She is survived by her eight children; Emilia (husband Morris Johnson), Lucette (husband Ivan St. Louis), Omer (wife Marguerite), Rheal (wife Helen, deceased), Roland (wife Simone), Aurele (wife Claudette), Elise (husband Edward Cuillerier) and Raymond (wife Therese). Melina is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by six sisters, Alexina, Albina, Cecile, Elizabeth, Annette, Emma, and four brothers, Telesphore, Ovila, Alfred and George. A memorial mass will be held at the Sacre Coeur Church in Corbeil on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 11 a.m. Spring interment at the Astorville Cemetery.
