GALLARDI, O. E. “Lundy“

Passed away, peacefully at home, Friday, March 21, 2008 at the age of 82. Lundy Gallardi was the beloved husband of Vivian Gallardi (née Constant) and loved father of Gregory (Judith) of North Bay, Margaret McKercher (Peter) of Cowichan Bay, B.C., Lundy-Lee Rosseter (Jack) of North Bay, Elaine Nelson (Terry) and Nancy Laframboise (Dale) both of Vernon, B.C. He was the adoring grandfather of 9 grandchildren, Matthew (Beckie) and Adam Gallardi, Orlanda, Peter- Michael and Marina McKercher, Michael and David Rosseter, Jada Young (Jason) and Clayton Nelson and 5 great- grandchildren, Caitlin and Olivia Gallardi, Harley and Nysa McKercher and Jackson Young. He is survived by two sisters, Helen Glionna (John-deceased) of Toronto and Marguerite Giardine (Joseph-deceased) of Timmins. Predeceased by his parents, Rosina (née Amendola) and Agostino Gallardi, two brothers, Jim (Dot-surviving) and Louis (Anne-deceased) and two sisters, Mary Luxton (Cliff-deceased) and Edith Clark (Hector-deceased). Lundy was a well liked and well known local businessman involved in welding, machine shop and the crane rental business. Family and friends may pay their respects at McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Rita's Church, Tuesday (time to be confirmed).
