GALLANT, Leroy

Surrounded by the love of his family, Leroy peacefully left us on Friday, October 19, 2007 at North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, at the age of 66. Beloved husband of Sandy (née Leclair-Caron) and loving father of Dean Gallant (Sheila Lamothe), North Bay, Troy Gallant, Edmonton, Joseph Caron (Terri Bonin), Keswick, Rebecca Caron Burgess (William), Toronto; loved Poppa Leroy to seven grandchildren and one great- grandson. Dear brother of Mildred Paynter (Andrew Jr.), North Bay and Ron Gallant (Juliette), Miscouche, P.E.I. Predeceased by his parents, Mabel (née Arseneault) and Edward Gallant. Leroy was the owner of Sunshine Auto Wreckers for many year. His fighting spirit and concern for his family during his battle with cancer has been an inspiration and example to all. He is loved, he will be missed.



In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to The Christian Bretheran School, Fellowship Town Guyana where Leroy and Sandy make Christmas a little brighter for these children and he is known as their Canadian Godfather. Family and friends may pay their respects at McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted at McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation at Forest Lawn Crematorium. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
