Passed away peacefully in his 83rd year, at his home with family by his side on Sunday September 7th 2008. For 60 years beloved husband of Phyllis (Warner). Dearly loved father of Bob (Barb) of Wasaga Beach, Kathy Raycroft (Bill) of Lanark, Susan McConnell (Jeff Woods) of Lanark and Tom (Patti) of Powassan. Ellard was predeceased by his son Brian (Nancy) of Golden Valley and infant son David. He will be lovingly remembered by eleven grandchildren and their spouses and twelve great- grandchildren. Ellard is survived by his sisters Shirley McNally and Beverly Cotter (Gerry) of Ottawa. Predeceased by his parents John and Beatrice, brothers Arnott, Jack and Alvin and sisters Lona and Doris all of Ottawa. Father-in-law of Glen McConnell and Keith Barton. The family will receive visitors at the WHISPERING PINES FUNERAL HOME 15 King Street East, Powassan. 724-9734 from 2pm to 9 pm on Thursday September 11th and Friday from 11am until the time of service at 2pm in the Whispering Pines Chapel. Interment will follow at the Nipissing Cemetery. Donations to the Kidney Foundation would be greatly acknowledged by the family.
