FITZMAURICE, Bernard

Passed away at his residence in Mattawa, Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the age of 78. Bernard Fitzmaurice was the beloved husband of the late Doris Fitzmaurice (née Neault) and Marcelle Morel (Lafrenière). Dearly loved father of Pat (Joanne) of Mattawa, Brian (Dianna) of Edmonton, Wayne (Helen) of Mattawa, Miles of Edmonton and step-sons Daniel and Michel Morel of Mattawa. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren, Tyler, Tasha, Chelsea, Brittany, Nathan,Travis, Beau, Brighton,China, Taylor, Morgan, Adam and Mitchel and great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Jacob, Carter and Jemma. Dear brother of Hector Fitzmaurice, Louise Lefebvre, Cynthia Léveillé, Rita Cousineau, Barbara Kotsilidis and Madeline Buffett. Predeceased by his parents Marie and Austin Fitzmaurice, step-parents, Marie and Fred Waldorf and a brother Harry. Bernard was an engineer with the Canadian Pacific Railway. The family wish to extend special thanks to the nurses and doctors from the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, ICU and 5th floor and to the nurses and doctors at the Mattawa General Hospital. Also a thank you to Kayla Michaud and John Park of Mattawa and VON nurse Karen Summers.



Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anne's Church in Mattawa, Friday, May 11, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Anne's Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Northern Cancer Research would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
