Posted

Passed away with her loving and devoted family at her side on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010, at the age of 86. Dot is survived by her husband Harry (married 63 years) and daughters Linda Kerr of Teeswater, Ontario and Terry Collins (Ken) of North Bay. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Paul, Jason, Glen, Melodie, Melissa, Nathan, three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Dearly loved sister of Arthur Lambie (Marie) of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, John Lambie (Vi) of MacKenzie, B.C., Margaret Dowhy of Thunder Bay and Jean Anderson of Kingston, and sister in law Dot of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her parents Margaret (nee Brookes) and William Lambie, also by her brother Robert Lambie, her sister Evelyn Shannon (Ed), brothers in law William Dowhy, Bill Anderson and granddaughter April Kerr and son in law Eldon Kerr. Dot was born in Dubuc, Saskatchewan and after high school joined the army as a nurse. She was stationed in Saskatchewan, were she met the “Love of her Life” Harry Fetterly, who was also in the army. They were married in 1947 in North Bay where they raised their two daughters. Dot loved to draw pictures, bake, cook and work in her garden. Caring for her family made her happy and if her friends needed help, she was there. Her greatest happiness came from sharing with others what the Bible says about a future paradise here on earth. We are very blessed to have had her in our lives. A Memorial Service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses (930 Anita Avenue, North Bay) on Saturday, June 5 at 2:00 P.M. Donations in Dot’s memory to the Water Tower would be gratefully appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to the Martyn Funeral Home.
