FENNELL, Dorothy May

1918-2007 - Rev. Brenda Mercer - Garvey will conduct funeral services in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL at 11:00 am on Monday October 29, 2007 for Dorothy May Fennell who died October 4, 2007, in Sherwood Park, Alberta, following a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Fennel, the former Dorothy Hunt, of North Bay, Islington, Lakefield and Brampton was the last member of the original Hunt family who settled in North Bay in 1908. Dorothy is survived by her son John Leslie Fennell (Susan) and her daughter Bonnie Forbes (Robert) of Sherwood Park, Alberta. To her grandson Michael & Joseph Fennell and grand daughters Allison, D'Arcy and Averell Forbes she left a loving legacy of courage, strength and hope. Missing “Sweetie” are great grandsons Aidan, Cian and Graison. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Leslie Bruce Fennell and brothers George, Leslie, Albert and Harry Hunt and sisters Emily Bennett, Elsie Hunt and Gladys Winstone. Private interment services will be held in St. John's Anglican Cemetery. “So to live in the minds of those we leave behind in not to die.”
