It is with great sorrow that the family announces the sudden death of their loving mother at North Bay, Friday, February 29, 2008 at the age of 71. Benita Victoria Falconi (née Ricci) was the cherished and loving wife of the late Giuseppe ‘Joe' Falconi and loving mother of Joanne Falconi of Ottawa, Joey (Oriana) of Toronto and Jennifer Roveda (Peter) of North Bay. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Joey Falconi, Jessica and Nicolas Roveda. Benita was the dear sister of Natalina Simpson, Joe Ricci, Georgina Ricci, Roger Ricci, Rudy Ricci, Ramona Ricci, Val Ricci, Karon Ricci, Vinny Ricci, Anna Ricci and Christine Fior. Predeceased by her parents, Mary (née Spina) and Michael Ricci and one sister, Shirley St-Germain. Benita was a former dietary aid at St. Joseph's Hospital for 20 years and was a member of Holy Name Catholic Womens League. She will be remembered for her great sense of humour. Family and friends may pay their respects at McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment of cremated remains at Holy Cross Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
