ETHIER, Lucien

Passed away peacefully at North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, Friday, May 4, 2007 at the age of 73, after a lenghy illness. Lucien Ethier beloved husband and best friend of Rose Ethier (nee Gauthier)-(Quinn) of 49 years. Dearly loved father of Paulette Groulx (Gilles), Louise Green (Terry), Colline LaVictoire (Richard), Richard Quinn (Ginette) , Robert Quinn (Joanne) and Michelle Guillemette (Dan). Cherised grandfather of Marc (Gina), Josée (John), Alain, Natalie, Josée, Brigitte (Jean ), Benoit (Sam), Joel, Julie (Mike), Eric, Melissa (Simon), Kristina, Renee (Justin), Stephanie (Chris) and great grandfather of Courtney, Jared, Matthew, Miguel, Alexandre, Fiona, Leslie, Amelia and Trinity-Rose. Lucien will be sadly missed by his sisters Laurette (Lawrence deceased), Marguerite (Roland deceased), brothers Homer (Georgetle deceased), Gerald (Therese) and sister-in-law Evelyne Gauthier. Predeceased by his parents Yvonne (Perron) and Emeril Ethier and brothers Henri (Rhea- deceased), Lionel, Maurice and a son- in-law Claude Guillemette.



Lucien was born March 10,1934, and spent most of his life in Astorville. Lucien was co- owner of Spee-Dee Messenger with Lionel Champagne from 1964 to 1984. He was forced to retired in 1984 and spent most of his retirement years , fishing, hunting, gardening and making puzzels. His greatest joy was playing cards with his grandchildren.



Family receiving friends at the McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St.Thomas d'Aquin Church, Astorville , Tuesday, May 8, at 10:30 a.m. Interment Astorville Cemetery.
