It is with great sadness that the family of Laura announces her passing at the North Bay General Hospital – Scollard Site on Sunday, October 5th, 2003, after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Laura was in her 34th year. Born in Burlington on January 3rd 1970, Laura was the beloved wife of Steven Eide of Powassan. Loving mother of Benjamin and Santanna. She was the beloved daughter of Gordon and Evelyn (Sandziuk) Johnson of Talon Lake, Phelps Township, brothers Martin and Derek (Valerie) Johnson and grandmother Mary Sandziuk of Talon Lake. Loved daughter-in-law of Carl and Mary Eide of Powassan. Laura attended Widdifield Secondary School and Canadore College in North Bay. She worked as a floral arranger and owned and operated Hart’s Flowers in Powassan. Laura was an active member of MADD. Visitation will be held at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Road, North Bay today, October 7th, from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service at 11 am on Wednesday, October 8th at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Eide family plot in Beaverton, Ontario on Thursday at 1 pm.
