1953 - 2007. The family announces with sorrow her death at home, with family by her side, on Monday, July 16, 2007. Beloved wife of Bill Nesbitt of Sturgeon Falls. Cherished mother of Sara Nesbitt, also of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by her parents, Antoine and Margaret Durand and by her father-in-law, Terry Nesbitt. Beloved daughter-in-law of Noëlla Nesbitt. Treasured sister of Gord (Late Marie) of Powassan, Greta (Bill Mallinson) of Burlington, Nola (Eric Goulais) of North Bay, Mel (Ruth) of Balmertown, Justin (Diane) of Hanmer, Darryld (Claire) and Dennis (Marlene) of Capreol, Sheila (Listowel) and Janet (George Van Bergen) both of Panama City Beach, Tim Nesbitt (Lise) of Callander, and Kelly Nesbitt-Cullon (Late John) of Peterborough. Rachel's dedication as an educator and coach was surpassed only by her devotion to the family. Heartfealt thanks to all the wonderful doctors and nurses for their care and compassion in helping us through this difficult time.



The family will receive friends at THEORET-BOURGEOIS FUNERAL HOME, Sturgeon Falls, on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, at 11 am, in Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, Sturgeon Falls. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation or the Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Center would be greatly appreciated.
