The family wishes to announce the sad passing of Gerry at the Mattawa Hospital on Tuesday May 29th, 2018 at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband of 44 years to Pauline (née Boulanger). Loving father of Eric and his wife Jennifer of Limoges, Luc and his wife Dianne of Mattawa and Natalie of Ottawa. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Marie-Pascale, Étienne, Eric, Justin and Dolan. Dearly loved brother of Ronald and his wife Diane of Mattawa. Predeceased by his parents Reginald and Christine Dupuis, his brothers Larry and Rhéaume as well as his mother-in-law, Laurette Boulanger. He will be sadly missed by his Father-in-law, Rosaire Boulanger, by Pauline's siblings and their spouses, by his many nieces and nephews as well as extended family and dear friends. Gerry was the Chief Building Official for several communities including the Town of Mattawa, Laurentian Hills and the townships surrounding Mattawa. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying hunting and fishing. Music was also an important part of his life, as he played several instruments and loved his 50's & 60's Rock ‘n Roll music. Visitation will be held at the "Martin & Sloan" Mattawa Chapel on Friday from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Ste Anne’s Parish on Saturday June 2nd at 11:30 AM. If desired, donations to Canadian Cancer Society and or Ste Anne Roman Catholic Church, Mattawa would be appreciated by the family.
