Shirley Nancy Dunlop passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, in North Bay. She leaves behind her three sons, William Dunlop, Joseph Lane, and Nathan Lane. Shirley was the proud grandmother of Violet Corbiere and Madelyn Lane. The love she had for her grandchildren was so special. She would light up every time she saw or heard them!

She was born in Temiscamingue, Quebec on May 22, 1959, to Eglantine Marie Bastien (Dunlop) and Harry Dunlop. Dear sister of David Dunlop, Robert Dunlop, and the late Micheal Dunlop. Shirley had many interests and hobbies. She particularly enjoyed taking part in charitable organizations and giving back to her community. For many years she was a member of the Legal Clinic and was very fond of her time there. She had a passion for writing and published multiple articles throughout her life on various subjects. Her love for writing extends beyond her passing, as the written works she left behind will be read for many years to come.

Shirley Dunlop’s biggest passion was her children. They will remember her as a loving, strong, creative, and vibrant mother. A mother that would do anything for her children. She was dedicated to raising the best children she could. She will be missed by her family and friends which she loved very much. Love you to the moon and back Mom.
