Long time Mattawa resident Kenneth Duncan died peacefully at the Mattawa General Hospital on Sunday September 16th, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Hamilton on September 17th, 1925, Ken was the son of the late Chester Duncan and Shirley Arthur. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his daughters Lynn Lacroix (Bruce) of Penetanguishene and Kate Duncan, his niece Brenda Young and nephew Doug Corbett. He was predeceased by his sister Marjorie Corbett. A researcher by profession Ken worked at the University of Guelph for many years. A nature lover he enjoyed the out of doors and time spent canoeing. Thank you to all the wonderful nurses, palliative care and staff at the Mattawa General Hospital. You have made life so much easier for all of us.

In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. If desired donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Martyn Funeral Home.
