DUMONT, Mary 'May' (née Griffin)

1921-2007. The family announces with sorrow her death at the West Nipissing General Hospital, Sturgeon Falls, on Sunday, June 24, 2007 at the age of 86 years. Daughter of the late John and of the late Annie (née Coady) Griffin. Beloved wife of René Dumont of Sturgeon Falls. Loving mother of Therese Green (Dan) of London, ON, Gabrielle Lacroix (Michel) of Cache Bay. Mother to Charles Stanley (Karen) and Renée Labelle (Gord) both of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by her daughter, Angèle Stanley (1973). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her six grandchildren, Tina, Laura, Brian, Chantal, Sylvie and Paul and by her great-granddaughter, Angèle. Dear sister of Teresa Griffin of North Bay, Margaret and Mickie Griffin both of Ireland. Predeceased by her brothers, Jim, Lar and John.



May was a war bride who arrived in Canada in 1946. She was truly dedicated to the care of her family and her extended family. A generous and loving person, May was also a past member of the Lady's Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #225, Sturgeon Falls. Her family wishes to acknowledge and give thanks to the Nursing staff of the West Nipissing General Hospital and to Dr. Guy Labelle for the excellent care provided.
