DOUCETTE, Alexander James “Alex”

Passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 9, 2010. Alex was the beloved husband of Helen (nee Edwards), he was 74 years old. Loving father of Brian and his wife Elizabeth of North Bay Philip and his wife Nicole and Stuart and his wife Catherine both of Thunder Bay. Loving grandfather of Francine, Patricia, Amy, Ashley, Ryan, Justin and by his great grandchildren Brianna, Brandon, Brooklynn and Courtney. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Raymond Doucette and his wife June of Truro, Nova Scotia, Delia Wardrope and her husband Jim of Qualicum Beach, BC and by his sister in law Gail Poukkula, her daughter Kim and family of Woodlawn. Alex worked for over 30 years with Canadian Longyear and was a very active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #599. A Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion #599 on Friday, February 12th, at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place with interment of ashes at the Terrace Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations to the North Bay General Hospital Foundation or the North Bay Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
