Passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Cassellholme. Doris was the beloved wife of the late Helmut Vierich, she was in her 85th year. Loving mother of Helga Vierich-Drever (husband Gordon) of Edmonton, and Bernie Vierich (wife Tracy) of North Bay. Dear grandmother of Cailin, Robin, Andrew and Carson Vierich. Predeceased by her parents Friederick and Meta Ostendorf and brother Hermann Ostendorf. Doris was born in Bremen, Germany on February 3rd, 1926. She emigrated to Canada with her husband and daughter in 1955. Friends may call at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) on Saturday, December 18th from 7:00 -9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, December 19th at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow with interment of ashes at Terrace Lawn Cemetery. A donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
