DESVREAUX, Jack Louis

Passed away suddenly at the Health Sciences North (Sudbury), on Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Jack was the beloved husband of Edna (nee Church) he was 66 years old (born January 25, 1946). Loving father of Cindy Houle of Gravenhurst, Tim Desvreaux and his wife Angela and Todd Desvreaux both of North Bay. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Beau (Carla), MacKenzie, Emma, Nikos and by his great granddaughter Emily. Dearly loved son of Ruth Desvreaux and son-in-law of Stella Church brother of Mary Deroches of Kingston, Gordon and Roy both of Bonfield and Harvey of Richmond Hill. He was predeceased by his father Louis , by his father-in-law Leonard Church and by his son-in-law Mark. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Jack and Edna where married on December 11, 1965 in Rutherglen. He started work at the age of 14 with the railroad and he and Edna worked together at Stanforth Lumber in Kiosk. He then worked for Henry’s Excavating for 28 years, Coon’s Brothers for 10 years, owned and operated Beau Mac Construction in Muskoka for 8 years and for worked Kenalax Construction in North Bay for the last 2 years. Jack was also an avid outdoorsman, hunting all over the area and fishing at Talon and at Jumping Caribou. He shared his knowledge of the outdoors with his children and others, so they would be able to feed themselves. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9:00 PM and on Saturday, February 18th from 11:00 am until time for a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.
