DeRenzi, Faye (nee Flavia)

Posted

Peacefully and serenely, Faye passed into the arms of the Lord in the early hours of Sunday morning, August 2, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by her husband Joseph and her daughter Roseanne, Faye will be lovingly remembered by family and friends. Beloved mother of Diane Orlando (Al), Albert DeRenzi, Donald DeRenzi (Helen) and Donna Taylor (John) and cherished grandmother to Christine and Stephen Orlando, Jennifer Rodgers (Jason), John, Janet and Jeffrey Taylor. Faye was born in Pisterzo, Italy on December 23, 1928. Five years later, she immigrated with her mother Rosa, older sister Catarina Cappadocia (deceased) and younger sister Josephine Falconi (Louis) to join their father Antonio Carcasole, who was already in Canada working for the Canadian National Railway. In 1946, she and Joseph DeRenzi were married in North Bay, but moved immediately afterwards to Hamilton, followed by Toronto and for many, many years in Brampton. The DeRenzi family would like to express their most sincere gratitude to the entire staff of Leisureworld (now Waters Edge) for their always kind, always compassionate and always caring support of our mom, to the cardiac emergency team at the NBRHC for their thoughtfulness and compassion. Lastly, our thanks go to Dr. Michael Leckie, who attended Faye as her family physician for many years. Faye’s love of family and friends, her dedication as wife and mother and her steadfastness in times of adversity and hardship, can only serve as a model for all those who knew her. Her family will be receiving visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Wednesday August 5th 2015 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Pro Cathedral of the Assumption on Thursday August 6th 2015 at 10am. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Near North Palliative Care or to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation-Cardiac Unit, would be gratefully appreciated by her family. Online condolences may be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com.
