DEMEZA, Jean

(September 1926 to July 2006) It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of a much loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother at the age of 79. She was predeceased by her parents Margaret and Winton, her husband Elmer on October 31, 2001 and her only brother Bob Adamson on May 29, 1997. She is survived by her daughter Margaret-Anne Schell of North Bay, granddaughters Jennifer (Jeff) McDonald of Ottawa, Melissa (Tyler) Schell of Ottawa and Kate (Dave) Schell of North Bay. She will be very much missed by her three great grandsons Owen, Parker and Griffin McDonald. Also survived by her two nephews Bob and Rick Adamson of South Porcupine and two nieces Dorie Bazinet of South Porcupine and Kitty Boyd of North Bay and their families.

Jean graduated from St.Marys school of Nursing and was a nurse at the Porcupine General Hospital until her retirement. She was well known as the best maternity nurse who saw and assisted many of the Porcupine population into this world. She was much loved by all that knew her for her generosity and kindness.



Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home (across from City Hall) today (Monday) from 2-4 and 7-9:00 PM and Tuesday from 10-11:00 am. Funeral Services will be conducted from St.John's Anglican Church on Tuesday, July 4th, at 11:30 am. Cremation will follow the service with her ashes being interred in the family plot in Owen Sound.
