DeMarco, Gloria

Peacefully passed away at the Nipissing Manor on January 3rd, 2014 at the age of 84 years. Predeceasedby her parents James and Antonetta (nee Fabiano) DeMarco, by her brothers Antonio, Alfredo, Francisco, James (Angeline), Almond (Geraldine), Albert (Norma), and sister Mary. Gloria will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her 13 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. Gloria began her working career as a secretary for the Canadian Pacific Railway in North Bay. She was later transferred to Montreal by the company, but decided after a time to return to her home city. She was then employed at the NORAD underground complex and spent the last of her working career at the Addiction Research Foundation. She will always be remembered by family and friends for her wonderful sense of humor and collection of jokes. Gloria loved music and singing and was an avid reader. Her travels and time spent with family and friends throughout her life brought her much joy and fond memories. Family will receive friends at the McGuinty funeral home on Thursday January 9th from 9-11 a.m. followed by a memorial service in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel.
