Peacefully at Eastholme in Powassan with family by her side on Friday, May 23, 2008. She was in her 99th year. Velma (Peever) was predeceased by her husband John George Delahunt. She was the much loved Mother of Elizabeth Ulrick (the late Victor), Letitia Topps (the late Alvin), Pat Guillemette (Harvey) all of Powassan, Glenda Lindsay (Wayne) of Napanee and Darlene Mort (Don) of Belleville; Grandmother of 15; Great-Grandmother of 15 and Great-Great- Grandmother of four. Predeceased by her sons William “Donnie” and George Delahunt; her sisters Irene Barton, Clara Anderson, Ermnie Acres and Fern Peever and her brothers Ernest, Melville, Earl, Mervyn and Elburn Peever. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Letty and Thelma Peever. The Delahunt family received visitors at the PAUL FUNERAL HOME, Powassan on Sunday, May 25, 2008. The funeral service will be conducted today, Monday, May 26, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Powassan Wesleyan Church. Interment Powassan Union Cemetery.
