At his residence in Corbeil, Sunday, April 13, 2008. Herman Daoust beloved husband of the late Rose Alba Gauthier in his 96th year. Dearly loved father of Ronald (Beryl) of Corbeil, Gilbert 'Butch' (Edna) of Liverpool, England, Bob (Debbie) of Shelburne, Frances Laberge (Roger) of North Bay and Lorraine Semple (Dr. Keith ) of Haliburton. Lovingly remembered by 10 grandchildren, Nancy, Kelly, Tracey, Gilbert, Scott, Ron, Denise, Rob, Shannon, Lorraine and 14 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Georgette Roy of P. E. I., Marcelle Sabourin (Guy) of Chelmsford, Therese Joanette (Delphis) of Sudbury, Lionel Daoust (Yollande) of London and Soeur Germaine Daoust of Ottawa. Predeceased by his parents Olivia and Albert Daoust, three brothers and three sisters. Herman was born in Sturgeon Falls and was a well known Sudbury businessman and race horse owner at Sudbury Downs. He was the founder of D & D Hobby Shop with his son Ron. Herman was the President of Leisure World in Sudbury and Leisure World Merchandisers of Toronto. A resident of Sudbury for more than 30 years and moved to Corbeil until the time of his passing.
