CUNNINGHAM, Erika (née Vagt)

On Sunday, December 11th, 2005, Erika passed away with her loving husband Robert Cunningham at her side. She is the dearly loved Mother to Derek Vagt (Brenda) and an extra special Grandma to Savannah and Hudson. Lovingly remembered by her sisters, Bertha Stahle (Wayne) and Gesi Parker (Dallas) and also by her ''borrowed daughter'' Teri Palangio. Erika was born on February 14th, 1946 in Kitchener to Ada and Henri Vagt. Her love for animals and passion for all things started at a very early age and continued through all of her days.The loving home that she built with Robert was her 'Heaven on Earth', surrounded by her horses and cats, assorted visiting wild life and their vast gardens and trees. Her beautiful and gracious spirit will always be at home here. It was Erika's wish that there be no service or ceremony, however, donations to Canadian Paraplegic Association (520 Sutherland Road, Toronto M4G 3V9) earmarked for Spinal Cord Research may be made in her memory.
