Peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Eastholme Home For The Aged in Powassan, Ontario.
Born February 9, 1941 in Halifax, Nova Scotia to Golda and Montgomery MacMillan, she is survived by husband Ronald and children Dwayne Cote (Andi) and Ronda Hart (John) both of North Bay, Ontario, sister Linda MacMillan and brother Wayne MacMillan both of Halifax. She is pre-deceased by son Derek (Denise). Doris cared for patients at the Civic Hospital in North Bay and retired after a 25-year career in nursing. She will be remembered for her kind smile, gentle nature, wonderful sense of humour, and the delicious baking that she made as a loving grandmother to her seven grandchildren: Chad Cote (Jessica); Kendra Wilkins (Travis); Jaiden Hodge (Jeff); Jake Cote (Brittany); Amber O’Neal (Zack); Ella and Avery Hart, and eleven great-grandchildren: Carson, Colton, Cadence, Maximus, Elijah, Kennedy, Calvin, Harrison, Kane, Finn and Levi.
