93 years - Passed away peacefully Thursday, August 24th, 2006 at the Pioneer Manor, Sudbury. Beloved husband of Lucille (predeceased). Loving father of Lawrence (wife Ruth) of Wasaga Beach, Dorothy predeceased (husband Jim Sammon of Sudbury), Colleen (husband Peter Fryzuk) of Eganville, Beverley (husband Con Jarrett) of Sudbury, Eileen (husband George McGowan) and Betty (husband Norman Stock) both of Powassan, David of Orillia, and Peter (wife Dawn) of Sudbury. Cherished grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 22 great- grandchildren. Dear son of Albert and Agnes Chew both predeceased. Dear brother of Eileen (husband Michael O'Connell) predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Born in Port McNicol he spent most of his life in the employ of INCO. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and gave tirelessly to his community through the Knights of Columbus arising to the position of State Deputy.

The family would like to especially thank the caring staff at Pioneer Manor on “Poplar Place“.

Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Sudbury. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brennan St., Sudbury Monday, August 28th, 2006 at 10 a.m. Interment in the Civic Cemetery, prayers at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Donations to the Lung Association or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated. (Friends may call 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday)
