CHARTRAND, Charlotte

The death occurred at the Temiskaming Lodge - Haileybury on Saturday, March 10, 2007 of Mrs Charlotte Chartrand (née Baril) of Cobalt at the age of 77 years. Born at Armstrong Township on August 5, 1929, Mrs Chartrand had been a longtime Cobalt resident. She had lived in North Bay in previous years where she had worked for the North Bay Nugget. Charlotte was an avid gardener, loved all animals and on many occasions would take in strays. Charlotte is survived by her loving husband Devin Mackay of Cobalt with whom she shared the last twenty-seven years of her life. Also left to mourn are her step-children: Brent, Bruce, Gordon and Brian Mackay; her godchild Lana (and Ted) Chalifoux, her niece Marlene (and Murray) Gilmour and many more nieces and nephews.



The family will welcome friends at the BUFFAM LEVEILLE FUNERAL HOME - HAILEYBURY (705-672-3122) on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 beginning at 10:am. A celebration of Charlotte's life will follow at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home at 11:am. Spring interment will take place at the Armstrong Township Cemetery.
