CHARRON, George

(1925-2008). The family announces with sorrow his death, peacefully at home with his family by his side, Sunday, January 6, 2008, at the age of 82 years. Son of the late Henri and of the late Pauline (née McMurray) Charron. Beloved husband of Sarah (née McLean) Charron of Sturgeon Falls. Loving father of Paulyne Charron (Pierre Lelièvre) of Sturgeon Falls, Jo-Ann Peterson (Jim) of Crystal Falls, Lynn Fournier (Bob) of Winnipeg, Marc Charron (Monique) and Norman Charron (Colette) both of North Bay. Dear brother of Rita Legault (late Georges) and Armand (late Eva) both of Sturgeon Falls, René (Elianne) of Trois Rivières , Québec, Laurette Lalonde (Roland) of Lively and Donat (Marie- Rose) of Garson. Predeceased by his brothers Emile, Paul , by his sister Marie and by his in laws Daniel and Christina McLean, John Joe and Edna McLean and John and Mary Brodie. Also survived by his sisters in law, Rita Charron of Sturgeon Falls and Mellie Boutilier (late Weldon) of Dominion, Cape Breton. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren Patrick, Erik, Tanya, Austin, Robert, Myles, Christopher, Bryan, Michelle, Kaitlyn, Daniel, Roch and by his seven great- grandchildren Corey, Logan, Taylor, Leland, Kristopher, Justin and Alyssa.



The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Guy Labelle for his support and compassionate care and to the CCAC workers and the VON nurses who helped George during his illness. The family will receive friends in Sacré Coeur Church, Sturgeon Falls, on Saturday, January 12 after 10;15. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11.am.
