With great sadness, the family of Donald Blaine Cameron (Hyatt) announces his passing at the age of 57 years old in North Bay, Ontario. Donald, known as Donny to his family and friends, was born on February 27, 1965, in Kitchener, Ontario, to Dennis Hyatt and Diane Corbeil. Donny’s childhood was not the easiest, but with his favourite person by his side, his little sister, Crystal, he got through many hardships and when him and Crystal were reunited with their father, Dennis, they moved to Emo to live with Dennis and his wife, Lee. Dennis and Lee provided a loving home and Donny grew up with a love for music, art, writing, and much like his dad - classic cars. His nickname was “Hollywood”, and it was not for nothing. He walked into every room as a star, dressed in his rocker jeans and leather vest with his hair long and wild. He was confident in who he was, he loved to smile and make others smile. He was a great singer and an even better performer. He entered various singing competitions and was voted “People’s Choice” at Fort Frances Quest for the Best in 2014.

Donny was always close with his sister and when he became an uncle, his nieces were a huge part of his life. He was also blessed with a daughter, Cassandra Cameron, and although they did not see each other much, Donny was very proud of the person Cassy is and often spoke fondly of her.

Life was not always easy for Donny, but his family was very important to him. Dennis was his hero, Lee was his angel, and Crystal was his best friend.

He is survived and will be missed by his sister Crystal; his nieces, Robyn (Barry), Hailey, and Taylor; his great-niece, Mia; his daughter, Cassandra; his mother, Diane; his Aunt Gayle Hyatt; his Uncle David Hyatt (Linda); his Aunt Gail Roussin (Joe); his Uncle Valmore Corbeil (Christine); his Uncle Roger Corbeil; his uncle Eddie Corbeil(Collette); his Aunt Ann Tremblett; his life-long friend, Mark Fairnington; and numerous cousins and friends.

He is predeceased and will be lovingly greeted by his dad, Dennis Hyatt; his stepmom, Lee Hyatt; his uncles, Mervin Hyatt, Calvin Hyatt, Bobby Corbeil, and Gary Corbeil; his aunt, Beverly Cooper; and his cousins, Aaron Hyatt and Gille Roussin.

The family will be having a private memorial service in Saskatchewan and at a later date, a burial will take place in Emo. If you wish to offer your condolences to the family and/or leave your memories of Donny, please visit https://everloved.com/life-of/donald-cameron/
