It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Daniel (Dan) Cameron of Sudbury, on Sunday, April 14th, 2024, at the age of 68 years from a heart attack.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Janice (née Holditch), his son Brent (Alicia) and son James (Kayleen). He loved and adored his two grandsons Nathan and Jackson.

Dan was the loving brother of Linda Shillington (Norm), David Cameron (Monique) (both predeceased), Laurie Drummond (Ross) and Doug Cameron (predeceased) (Shannon). He was a brother-in-law to Doug and Janice Holditch.

Predeceased by his parents, Ronald and Louise Cameron and his parents in law Walter and Pearl Holditch.

He will be fondly remembered by a number of nieces and nephews.

He had a long-time friendship with his best friend Gord Prince (Pierrette), who he texted with everyday. He called him his brother from another mother.

Born in Owen Sound on May 4th, 1955. Dan moved around the province of Ontario throughout his childhood and settled in Sudbury during his high school years. He began his career at 18 years old with Bell Canada and retired in 2004. His proudest achievement was installing the first 911 system in the City of Sudbury. He was a dedicated Bell man.

Dan loved to fish, quad and snowmobile but his greatest love was his family. He was looking forward to spending some quality time with the family at camp this summer.

The family would like to thank the Fire Service, Paramedics and Police Service for their compassion on the day of Dans passing.

As per Dans wishes, there will not be a funeral or visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
