CAMERON, ALAN M.

Posted

At Cassellholme on Sunday December 16, 2007 in his 89th year. Dear husband of the late Merle Cameron (Virtue) for 56 years. Loving father of A. David Cameron (Margaret Reid) of North Bay, Shirley Malet de Carteret (Reginald) of Vancouver Island and Barbara Jarus (Wayne) of Mississauga. Sadly missed by grandchildren Scott Cameron, Owen Jarus and Kevin Jarus.

Alan graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Serving in WWII, he saw action in the North Atlantic and the English Channel as a Lieutenant on the frigate Nene. He spent most of his working life with INCO at Sudbury and Thompson, Manitoba. Always the handy person, Alan enjoyed his cottages and boats and all the odd jobs and repairs that go along with them. He also enjoyed music and performing with his harmonica at the Empire Living Centre and Cassellholme.

At Alan’s request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium. If desired, donations to St. Andrew’s United Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the Martyn Funeral Home.
