CALDWELL, Eleanor B. (nee Fitzsimmons)

1916 – 2006. Eleanor, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully June 4, 2006 in North Bay. She was predeceased by her husband Vibert, brothers Watson and Fred, and her only daughter June. She is survived by her son Gil (Donna), grandchildren Christine, Jeffery, Tracy (Bruce), and great grandson Kyler.

Eleanor grew up in New Liskeard, ON and completed her RN in Rouyn- Noranda, Que. where she raised her family and pursued her nursing career as a hospital and private duty nurse and medical receptionist. After moving to North Bay with her husband she became an active member of the St Brice Anglican church where she often served as organist. Eleanor was also an active and life long member of the Order of the Eastern Star. The family would like to also express our appreciation to Cassellholme for their caring and support and particularly to Fran Carrington and her staff.

Visitation will be held at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd on Thursday June 8, 2006 from 2 until 4 pm. Private funeral service and burial at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any of the following causes: Dystonia Medical Research Foundation – Canadian Division, Canadian Breast Cancer or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. In living memory of Eleanor a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park Memorial Gardens, Calgary, AB.
