Betty passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Saturday, August, 25, 2012. She was in her 56th year. Loved fiancé of Robert Cripps of Powassan. A loving mother of Edward (Debbie) of Mount Uniake, NS, Donald (Kaitlyn) of North Bay, Jennifer (Bart Campbell) of Lindsay, and Meagan (Mohammed Khodabandehloo) of North Bay; and proud Grandma of six grandchildren. Betty was the dear daughter of James G. Hilton of Powassan and the late Marion Hilton, and sister of James, Jr., of Powassan, Lynn (Carl Brown) of Powassan, Richard (Lisa) of Powassan, Carol of Powassan, Susan (Gates Desjardins) of South River, Lorraine (Carl Petri) of Dundurn, SK, and Bonnie (Doug Paul) of Powassan. Betty’s family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, today, Monday, August 27, from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 11 am at Powassan United Church. Cremation to follow with interment of ashes in Powassan Union Cemetery at a later date.
