BUCKMULLER, Carmel

Passed away peacefully on January 13th, 2008 at the Algonquin Nursing Home in Mattawa in her 94th year after a long and fruitful life. She was predeceased by her husband Jack (1972), sister Marion and brothers Eric and Ernie. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Karl (Patricia) of Brampton, Marleen, Rod (Barb) and Colleen (Tom) all of North Bay and grandchildren Bethany, Chris, Connie, Jason and Jeffrey. Her great- grandchildren are Bryanne, Virginia and Hanna. Carmel was a generous and loving Mother to her children whose interests and welfare always came before hers. She was proud of the fact that she was raised in the Ottawa Valley to a family that valued hard work. She worked for Eatons Canada for a number of years and did volunteer work for the Canadian Cancer Society. As a member of St. Peters Church she participated in many functions put on by the CWL. Even in later years she worked tirelessly to help in events put on at the church.



Her family is receiving friends at the McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Church , Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Internment will be at St. Mary's Cemetary in the spring. Her family would like to thank all the staff at the Algonquin Nursing Home in Mattawa for their care and kindness during her stay there. It would be appreciated if donations to the Heart and Stroke Fund made in lieu of flowers.
