BROWN, Gordon Fleming

Peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital, on Friday September 16, 2005 at the age of 85 years. Gordon Fleming Brown was for the past 45 years the beloved husband of
Josephine E. (Bishop). Gordon will be lovingly
remembered by his sister Orlo Nielson of Owen
Sound, his brother Norman of Kilsyth, Ontario and
several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his
parents the late Erskine and Nellie Brown.
Gordon's career as an accountant began with the
Booth Lumber Company in Kipewa. Following his
marriage to Josephine in 1960, they moved to Tee
Lake and were then transferred to Montreal. Booths
was eventually sold to Universal Oil Products and
in 1972 the Browns were transferred to North Bay.
Gordon retired from he company in 1981 and began a
second career as a bailiff. He was still involved
with his business until a few months prior to his
death. In accordance with his wishes there will be
no visitation. Cremation has taken place and a
grave side service for the committal of his ashes
will be held in the Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound
at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 23rd, 2005 If
desired, donations to the Northeastern Regional
Cancer Center will be gratefully acknowledged as
expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to
the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall).
