Of South River - Peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital - Scollard Site on Friday March 2, 2007 in her 84th year. Jeanette Brooks, beloved wife of the late John Harold Brooks. Loving mother and best friend of Judy Franks (Dave) of Brampton, Betty-Lou Maeck (Harvey) of South River, Maureen Martin (Walter “Butch“) of Powassan, Robert Brooks of Brampton and Bonnie-Sue Wolf (Mark) of Powassan. Cherished grandmother of Lori Holotuk (Brent), Sherry Maeck, Shelley Maeck, Geoffrey Maeck, Michael Martin (Casey), Jennifer Charter (Dave), Ashley Wolf, Brittany Wolf, John Wolf, great grandmother of Daphne Maeck, Justin, Lindsay Holotuk, Melissa, Noah Maeck- Ralston, Katelyn, Meagan Poirier, Grayson Charter, Nicholas and Lizzie Martin. Dear sister of Delbert Waldriff (Rae) of Gravenhurst. Predeceased by her parents John and Charlotte (Noaik) Waldriff, brother Frank and son Douglas. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and her many friends in the area.

The late Mrs. Jeanette Brooks was at rest at the MOORE'S FUNERAL CHAPEL, 9 Paget Street, Sunridge on Sunday March 4, 2007 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service was conducted at the Grace Anglican Church, Ottawa Street, South River on Monday March 5, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Allan Knight officiating. Spring interment at the South River Cemetery, South River.
