Doc Brooks died unexpectedly, following surgery, on Monday, November 3, 2008 at Toronto General Hospital in his 78th year. He was the beloved husband of Bernice “Bunnie“ (nee Stephens) of Arnstein and the much loved father of Dan Brooks (Brenda) and Tony Brooks (Penny), all of Port Loring. Gramps will be lovingly remembered by granddaughter Lena Brooks. He was predeceased by his parents Gertrude (Storie) and Robert Brooks. Doc was the dear brother of Arva McArthur (the late Doug) of Markham and was predeceased by his brothers Ovis Brooks (the late Mary Ellen) and Robert “Butch“ Brooks (Pat of Brampton).
