Peacefully after an evening shared with her family on Friday October 26, 2007 in her 90th year. Predeceased by her loving husband and companion Joe in 1978. Caring and loving mother of Jewell Ann Brunette (Raymond) of North Bay, Robert (Catherine) of Pickering, Michael (Catherine) of Ottawa and Brian (Ann-Marie) of North Bay. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Andrée Brunette (Shawn Moore), Micheline Pride (Jon), Aimée Cazabon (Richard), John Bourke (Stefanie), Matthew Bourke, Sara Bourke (Cory Jaska), Benjamin Bourke, Caroline Mathieson (Mark), Melanie Bourke (Jeff Jackson), Michelle Bourke and Brianne Bourke. Also missed by her great grandchildren Maire Harrison, Joshua Pride, Bourke and McCrea Cazabon, Naomi Bourke and Baylee Bourke. Survived by her sister Jewell Hembree of Arizona and by her brother Lee McCrea (Shirley) of Oakville. Evelyn was a well known music teacher and an organist at the Pro-Cathedral and other area churches for over 50 years. She was also a member of the North Bay Branch of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association. Evelyn (Doll) cared for all those around her, touched the lives of many of her students and will be missed dearly. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home (across from city hall) on Sunday from 7-9 pm and again on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral Mass will be held at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption on Tuesday at 10 am. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium and inurnment of ashes at the All Saints Mausoleum.
