BOUCHER, Raymond Joseph

1929 to 2007. Passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on August 17, at the North Bay General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Emile and Lucienne, brother Roland and sister Jeannette Lacourse. Survived by his brother Aurèle and sister Thérèse (Philippe) of Témiscaming, Québec and brother Leo (Betty) of Ottawa, Ontario. He leaves behind his former wife Yolande of Témiscaming, son Michel of North Bay, and daughter Nicole, and beloved grandchildren Renée and Steven Frève of Gatineau, Québec. Raymond leaves behind his best friend and caregiver for many years, Susan McKenzie of North Bay. He will be missed by many relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.



Raymond was best known as Temiscaming's Insurance Doctor. He served as President of the Temiscaming Chamber of Commerce, and spent 6 years on the Temiscaming School Board. Raymond was a nature enthusiast and enjoyed hunting and fishing. One of Raymond's favourite songs was 'Everything is Beautiful' by Ray Stevens.



At his request, there will be no visitation. A mass will be celebrated for Raymond on Monday, September 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa's Parish, Temiscaming, Québec. Donations to the CNIB North Bay (Canadian National Institute for the Blind) or St. Theresa's Parish would be greatly appreciated.
