BOIVIN, Gérald Ovide

The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Monday, May 1st, 2006 at the age of 71 years. Son of the late Antoine and of the late Ernestine (née Martin) Boivin. Husband of the late Germaine Marie Boivin, (2000). Loving father of Nicole Gratton (Louis), Gisèle Coutu (Robert) and Gerry Boivin Jr. (friend Marcie) all of Sudbury, Denis Boivin and Roger Boivin both of North Bay and Michel Boivin of Sault Ste. Marie. Dear brother of Jeannine O'Hare of North Bay, Guy Boivin (Thérèse) of Sturgeon Falls and René Boivin (Ghislaine) of Jonquière, Québec. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Geneviève, Pierre, Chantale, Natalie, Christopher, Crystal, Justin, Ryan and by his great-grandchildren, Kierra, Malika, Isabelle and Isaac.



Mr. Boivin was retired from Canada Post having worked in North Bay. Gérald, a very kind and giving person, was devoted to his family, his friends and his church.

The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Thursday evening from 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, May 5, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Redeemer Church, Sudbury. Donations to the Leprosy Relief Canada or to the St. John Cemetery Irrigation Fund would be appreciated.
