(1933-2018) Raymond, Uncle Ray, Unc, Dad, Grumpa, passed away on Wednesday February 7, 2018 with his family by his side. Germaine (nee Gauthier), his companion, best friend and wife of 50 years, his son Paul (Jennifer) and his granddaughters Grace and Anna all cherish their memories of Lake Nosbonsing, the boat, feeding the ducks and all the songs sung around the campfire.  Ray is survived by his brother Walter Blahey, his sister-in-law Evelyn Blahey and many nieces and nephews.  He was blessed with friendship.  Ray was passionate about hockey, committing 30 years to North Bay Minor Hockey.  He was also a faithful man and served his church, St. Peter the Apostle, as a sacristan for over 30 years. Ray practiced Dentistry in the City of North Bay for over 50 years.  He was a very generous man personally and professionally.  Raymond built his life on the firm foundation of gratitude to God, devotion to his relationships, faithfulness to the church and dedication to work.  As much as Ray was involved in his community, his focus has always been on the love he had for his wife Germaine and pride for his son Paul.

Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd., on Sunday February 11th from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm.  Funeral mass Monday February 12th at 11:00am at St. Peter the Apostle Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Nipissing Literacy Council, St. Peter’s Needy Fund or the North Bay Warming Centre.  The family would like to acknowledge the dedication of the nursing staff at the North Bay Regional Health Centre and the compassionate care from Dr. Kolb.
