On the evening of June 28, 2022, Helene Carole Bertrand of Mattawa, Ontario, died at the age of 62. Helene was born in 1960 in Haliburton, Ontario, but called Mattawa home for many years. Helene was an avid cook and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Helene was known for her kindness, generosity, sense of humour and her ability to brighten a room. Helene is preceded in death by her father Rheal, mother Jacqueline and siblings Teddy, Nicky and Lise (Wayne). Helene will be deeply missed by her partner Sidney Coates, her stepmother Louise, her brothers Bob (Paulette), Edgar (Jen), Wayne (Lisa), sister Lynne (Ray), children Michelle (Dave) and Eric (Kristen), stepchildren Ryan and Jennifer (Shawn), grandchildren Kyla, Leah, Tessa, Ali and Xavier, nieces Tamara, Rachelle and Lisa, nephew Marc and several cousins. A celebration of life will be held at the Legion in Mattawa on July 15, starting at 12:00pm.
