Peacefully passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on January 7, 2014 at the age of 72 years. Dearly loved husband of Bernadette (nee Amyotte). Beloved father of Alice Milne (Ron), Richard (Lori) and Conrad (Tina). Cherished Pepère of Kayla Goodship (Alain), Lindsay Goodship, Jonathan, Andrew and Victoria and step-pepère of Warren and Tracey; great step-pepère of Keavin. Dear brother of Emile (Helen),Wilfrid (Fabiana-deceased), Elzire Duchesne (Bertrand), Lionel (Mona), Therese Labrecque (Maurice-deceased), Neil (Gisele), Lina Bélecque (Raymond Thibeault) and Liliane Turcotte (Ron). Ernie will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his first wife Agathe (Nadon) (1968), parents Henri and Lea (nee Gauthier), sister Ernestine, and brother Ovide (Marie Rose-surviving). Family will be receiving friends at the McGuinty Funeral Home on Thursday from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Paroisse Sts Vincent-de-Paul on Friday at 11 am. Cremation to follow. Donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre would be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
