It is with immeasurable heartbreak that we announce the passing of Pierre Patrice Joseph Beaulac, at the age of 80 years old. Pierre died peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Center on February 20th, 2024. The youngest of 11 children, he is predeceased by his siblings, Philippe, George, Basile, Denis, Monique, Celine, Elianne, Therese, and Suzanne. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Micheline, his two daughters Christine and Catherine, his granddaughter Amanda and his older brother Michel. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Pierre was born on March 16th, 1943 in Belle Vallée, Ontario, to parents Fridolin and Catherine Beaulac (née Gill). He was raised on a farm where he learned the value of hard work at a young age. At 18, he left his small community to work in the mines of Northern British Columbia and the Yukon. A decade later, he returned to Ontario and met Micheline. After their marriage, they decided to move to New Liskeard to be near family. Pierre found work in Temagami at Sherman Mine where he stayed for fifteen years until the mine closed in 1991. Afterwards, he transitioned to truck driving until his retirement in 2007. Pierre often referred to himself as a “jack of all trades, master of none”. He was actually incredibly gifted in many areas from carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, and welding. His happiest place was fiddling around in his garage where he kept everything immaculately organised and clean. He loved the outdoors, especially riding around on his ATV, skidooing, fishing and camping. He was a “raconteur” who loved entertaining his family and friends with stories from his childhood and from his time out west.

Services will be held at McGuinty Funeral Home (591 Cassells St, North Bay) on Thursday, February 29th, 2024. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm. The Memorial Service will follow at 1pm
C'est avec chagrin que nous annonçons le décès de Pierre Patrice Joseph Beaulac, à l'âge de 80 ans. Pierre est décédé paisiblement au Centre régional de santé de North Bay le 20 février 2024. Le plus jeune de 11 enfants, il est précédé par ses frères et sœurs, Philippe, George, Basile, Denis, Monique, Céline, Elianne, Thérèse et Suzanne. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse bien-aimée Micheline depuis 50 ans, ses deux filles Christine et Catherine, sa petite-fille Amanda et son frère aîné Michel. Il manquera également à ses nombreux neveux et nièces.
Pierre est né le 16 mars 1943 à Belle Vallée, Ontario, de parents Fridolin et Catherine Beaulac (née Gill). Il a grandi sur une ferme où il a appris très jeune la valeur du travail acharné. À 18 ans, il quitte sa petite communauté pour travailler dans les mines du nord de la Colombie-Britannique et du Yukon. Une décennie plus tard, il retourne en Ontario et rencontre Micheline. Après leur mariage, ils ont décidé de déménager à New Liskeard pour se rapprocher de leur famille. Pierre a trouvé du travail à Temagami, à la mine Sherman, où il est resté quinze ans jusqu'à la fermeture de la mine en 1991. Par la suite, il a fait la transition vers la conduite de camions jusqu'à sa retraite en 2007. Il était incroyablement doué dans de nombreux domaines, notamment la menuiserie, la mécanique, la plomberie et la soudure. Son endroit le plus heureux était de travailler dans son garage où il gardait tout parfaitement organisé et propre. Il aimait le plein air, particulièrement les balades en 4 roues, le skidoo, la pêche et le camping. Pierre était un raconteur qui aimait divertir sa famille et ses amis avec des histoires de son enfance et de son temps dans l'Ouest. Notre famille aimerait remercier tout particulièrement Dr Richard Senior et l'équipe du C3 du CRSNB. Nous apprécions tous vos soins.
Les services auront lieu à la Maison Funéraire McGuinty (591 rue Cassells, North Bay) le jeudi 29 février 2024. Les visites auront lieu de 11h à 13h. Le service commémoratif suivra à 13 heures.
