Beauchamp, Irene Georgina

It is with great sorrow the family of Irene Beauchamp announces her passing on May 31, 2015 at Eastholme in Powassan. She will be remembered by her two daughters; Arline (John) and Paddy (Kevin), along with her grandchildren; Jan, John-Henry, Trevor, Morgan and her great grandchildren Kayley, Abigail, Jaya, Keyara, Layla, Norah and special friends Margie and Meredith Park, Kathy Coughlin and staff at Eastholme. Survived by her loving cousins; Lorraine Thompson, Rowena Hayball, Doris Hindmarsh, Mary Kitchen, Bill Dutton (Donna), Phyllis Matthews. Predeceased by her husband Bruno in 1982, parents Jenny and Lyle Hutchinson, her sisters; Iva Todd, Jean Barnett and Florence Blunt. Irene was born in Brandon, Manitoba in 1917. One of her favorite activities as a young girl was skating and playing hockey. She moved to North Bay in 1940 working for Eaton’s as the Department Manager for Children’s wear, at which time, one of her duties was ordering the clothes for the Dionne Quintuplets. She loved to travel and see different parts of the world. She was very proud to have lived independently in her own home until 90 years old in the close knit neighborhood on Brooke St. where she had life-long neighbors and friends. Family times have always been important to her. She was very proud of her grandchildren and happy to see them succeed in their own lives. Our cherished memories of her will live in our heart forever.
